Terms and Conditions of Hire

Age requirements : Minimum age 21 years | Maximum age 75 years | Young driver supplement: YES age 19-21 only for car groups MDMR/ECMR   / Price per day to be paid locally is €25 inclusive of TAX |Minimum driving experience required (years):  1 year                                        

Driving License : INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE is mandatory to be presented by all drivers out of EU

Additional driver : price per day, min & max: €5 inclusive of TAX

Taking the car abroad (outside Greece) :  Taking the car abroad is not allowed. A penalty amount of € 10.000 apply

Payment options : Voucher |Partial Payment | Credit cards VISA, MASTER, UNION PAY, REVOLUT, all major credit cards. Diners cards not accepted | Debit cards not accepted unless if for optional extras and Additional insurances

Fuel Policy : Same to Same | If full to full option the refueling charge is €30.- inclusive of TAX

Out of hours Collection & Return  : €30.- inclusive of tax for Out of hours collection & same amount if out of hours return

Traffic / Damage fee : Traffic administration fee:  €30.- plus other fine expenses requested by the Traffic Police Department. Damage administration fee €30.- (amounts include tax)

Baby seat / Child seat / Booster seat : price per day, min / max : €5 per day or max  €50.- inclusive of tax

GPS : price per day, min / max € 10per day or max  €100.- inclusive of tax

Country Restrictions :

Cancellation Policy : -Bookings can be changed and/or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to pick-up. Bookings that are cancelled after this time, will incur a cancellation fee of the total voucher value.-Bookings that the customer has failed to pick up the car “Non Show” or “No credit/debit card” or “Not valid documents ID/Passport/Driver’s license” will incur a penalty fee of the total voucher value.

Dirty Car cabin upon return or to the outside of the car where the car inspection is not possilble :

€100.- per rental. Extra ordinary interior cleaning €149 if check out to the Mainland & €174.- if check out to the islands. Disinfection due to a confirmed Covid-19 statement of the driver or passengers €186.

Travelling with VOLTA4u car to the Greek islands : Allowed only with a written authorization from VOLTA4u Reservations department. Email request should be sent prior to the booking confirmation to reservations@volta4u.com and customerservice@volta4u.com   

Country Restrictions / Insurance / Damage / fines  :

The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) excess amount  , the Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) reduced excess amount and the Full insurance zero excess amount do not cover the following options :

1. If any damages to the underside of the car,

2. To the wheels & tires

3. If damages caused against to the violation of all articles mentioned on the Greek and EU Traffic Low and each one of those articles separately of the Greek and EU Traffic low, (KOK)  as well as to damages of self-call for traffic violation of the traffic code

4. Damages caused upon driving to unpaved roads,

5. Driver under the influence of alcohol or other substances,

6. Damages to the windscreens. 

None of these damages covered from the insurance and the total amount of the damage to the rented car and if needed to certain cases the transportation of the expenses of possible transportation of the car from the place that the damage took place to the Volta4u Maintenance department , should be paid from the driver or the company’s account that covers the full amount of the rental.

1. Traffic fines cost applicable from the Traffic Police plus administration fees of €25 charged to the customer

2. Vehicle’s plates collection from the Traffic Police cost €20 –  per day with a maximum of €400 per rental charged to the customer

3. Any other fine costs applicable from the Traffic Police during the rental period charged to the customer. 

Turn down or cancelled booking (by customer, the driver or from the Station Mgr for reasons contrary to the Terms & Conditions : The voucher value is not refundable if cancellation received prior to check out for reasons contrary to the Terms & Conditions, e.g. No credit card, or not valid credit card, no International driving license, customer with instability to drive the vehicle, client under the influence of substances, etc.    

Grace period : 30 minutes.        

Lost / Damaged Key : €434.-  

1. WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL OR MODIFY MY BOOKING?

Modification

You can modify your booking, free of charge, provided You let Volta4u know at least 48 hours before the rental is due to start.

Please be aware that new rental prices may apply if You modify Your booking.

Modifications of your booking can be done via Volta4u Reservation Department to the telephone number +0030 2109735000, You can also contact by email to the following address reservations@volta4u.com and customerservice@volta4u.com

2. Cancellation

If You have prepaid your booking online to www.volta4u.com

– You can cancel Your booking free of charge provided that You have given Volta4u at least 48 hours notice before the rental is due to start.

– If You cancel giving Volta4u less than 48 hours notice, 50% of the prepaid amount will not be refunded.

– If You cancel giving Volta4u less than 24 hours notice, 70% of the prepaid amount will not be refunded.

– If You have not cancelled and fail to come to the Volta4u station to pick up the Vehicle, the prepaid amount will not be refunded.

– If You turn down the reservation upon check-out, the prepaid amount will not be refunded

– If You don’t provide a valid driving license, ID or passport or a credit card under your name, the prepaid amount will not be refunded.

For the purpose of this section, cancellation of the booking or failure to pick up the Vehicle due to Force Majeure means that You are prevented or delayed by reason of war and other hostilities civil commotion, accident, lock-outs, trade disputes acts, embargoes or restraints of governments restrictions of imports or exports or any other cause or circumstance beyond Your reasonable (direct or indirect) control.

If You have not prepaid your booking online to www.volta4u.com

– You may modify your booking free of charge 24hrs prior to the time of pickup. If less than 24hrs you should contact the pick up station or email to reservations@volta4u.com and customerservice@volta4u.com

– If you have a pre-paid booking ( voucher/ Reference No ) through a Travel Agent or a Booking platform/On line TA/TO,  you must check and follow the Terms and Conditions written on your voucher.
